Residential Cost-Plus Special Conditions — ABIC CP-2014 C (WA)

The ABIC CP-2014 C Commercial Cost Plus Contract is a commercial contract that, in its unamended form, is not suited to residential building work. These Special Conditions, drafted by Christopher Larcos, adapt it for residential projects, in a version tailored to the requirements of the relevant state or territory.

ABIC CP-2014 C WA - Commercial Cost Plus Residential Special Conditions

$220.00AUD

The ABIC CP-2014 C Commercial Cost Plus Contract is a commercial contract. In its unamended form, it does not contain the acknowledgment required by section 14 of the Home Building Contracts Act 1991 (WA) for a cost-plus contract for home building work, or expressly address the home indemnity insurance requirements in Part 3A of that Act. These Special Conditions modify the contract to the minimum extent necessary to address those requirements, adapting it for use on residential projects in Western Australia to which Part 3A applies. This provides a practical and balanced alternative to standard cost-plus contracts commonly used in the residential sector.

  • When used with the matching contract and completed correctly, these Special Conditions are intended to address identified Home Building Contracts Act 1991 (WA) requirements. Whether they do so depends on the completed contract, incorporation, project circumstances and applicable law.
